GET TICKED OFF BEFORE TREK

If you were not able to stop by the Stake Center to dip your Trek clothes in permethrin on June 16 here are two DIY methods to prepare your clothing items.  Please be sure to treat your Trek clothes to stay safe from ticks.

Permethrin is a pesticide that according to the EPA and CDC is safe on clothing. It should not be used on skin. Insect repellants should be used on skin. We advise using protective gloves when working with permethrin liquids, though no risk has been documented.

Clothing and other items must be treated 24–48 hours in advance of Trek to allow them to dry (treated clothing can dry slowly). As with all pesticides, follow the label instructions when using permethrin.
